Manuel Lima. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, nominated by Creativity magazine as "one of the 50 most creative and influential minds of 2009", Manuel Lima is a Senior UX Design Lead at Microsoft Bing and founder of VisualComplexity.com - A visual exploration on mapping complex networks. Prior to joining Microsoft, Manuel worked as a Senior User Experience Designer at Nokia and Senior Interaction Designer at the leading digital agency R/GA. He holds a BFA in Industrial Design and a MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons School of Design, New York. During the course of the MFA program, Manuel worked for Siemens Corporate Research Center, the American Museum of Moving Image and Parsons Institute for Information Mapping in research projects for the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency. Manuel is a leading voice on information visualization and a frequent speaker in conferences and festivals around the world, including TED, Lift, OFFF, SHiFT, Reboot, VizThink, IxDA Interaction and MeshForum.

Jer Thorp. Artist and educator from Vancouver, Canada. A former geneticist, his digital art practice explores the many-folded boundaries between science and art. Thorp's award-winning software-based work has been exhibited in Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Australia and all over the web. Recently, he has produced work for WIRED UK, written for The Guardian, and been featured by the New York Times Developer Network. Jer is currently artist in residence at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

Miguel Cardoso.Graduated on Communication Design and studying for a phD on Computer music he is interested on researching in the fields of data visualization, design, programming and computer music.

Pedro Miguel Cruz. Pedro Cruz started his academic activity when he enrolled in Physics Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. He later changed his course to Informatics Engineering at University of Coimbra. In Coimbra he started collaborating with the communication design atelier FBA, doing motion and interactive installations. He spent a year in Belo Horizonte – Brazil, taking an internship at the creative studio 3bits, working in web and interaction design. He later concluded his master thesis in information visualization and aesthetics in Coimbra. In 2010 he won the ACM Student Research Competition at SIGGRAPH in Los Angeles. Currently he is an assistant lecturer in the Design and Multimedia courses at University of Coimbra, a PhD student and a researcher at CISUC (Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra). Recently his work has been featured at Wired Magazine UK and the MoMA exhibition catalogue for “Talk to Me”.
